Sales Graduate

If you have no previous automotive experience, we recommend this programme as a way to start your career as a car sales consultant. For less than £300 you can train for the career you’ve always wanted. There’s no need to give up your current job as we’ve created the training to fit around any busy life! It consists of 7 on-line modules followed by a weekend experience event. The on-line modules are presented live by experienced sales consultants on Monday and Thursday evenings between 19.30 and 21.30 which means we can deliver all 7 modules in four weeks. And no need to worry if you miss one of the on-line modules because they are all recorded and saved on the website.

  • Module 1

    Introduction to car sales

Is really an introduction to the programme and is intended to provide you with some basic information about the UK car market and how the dealer network operates. This first module will also cover how customers buy today and will introduce you to a benchmark model of outstanding performance for a car sales consultant.

  • Module 3

    The sales journey

The sales journey will introduce you to a basic step by step sales process. It details the typical stages a customer will go through on their journey to buying a new car. This is to help you understand the importance of each stage and your role in it.

  • Module 5

    The vehicle experience

We’ve grouped all the elements that involve interaction with the car into module 5. So in this module you’ll cover the vehicle presentation, demonstration drive and handover.

  • Module 7

    Creating sales enquiries

A key part of any sales role is keeping a good level of enquiries. Without enquiries there are no sales, so in this module we’ll take you through some tools and techniques to help you generate your own enquiries.

  • Module 2

    Basic vehicle technology

Anyone in a car sales role should have some knowledge about basic vehicle technology. Of course this content will be generic because each brand will want to train new sales consultants on its own product. However, you will cover basic vehicle architecture, chassis engine and transmission layouts and current in demand technology such as driver assistance systems and connectivity.

  • Module 4

    Connecting with customers

We’ve dedicated a whole module to connecting with customers. Here you will cover the importance of building rapport and relationships with customers in order to facilitate the sale along with techniques on how to do it successfully.

  • Module 6

    Concluding the sale

Again, we’ve dedicated an entire module to concluding the sale. We want you to understand this is an essential requirement to the role of any sales consultant so we'll be explaining how to get to the ultimate question of asking the customer for their order.

Once you have completed the 7 modules we will invite you to one of our experience events. These events are normally held over a weekend so you don’t have to take any time off work. The start time on day one is set at 10.30 to allow time to travel. Most of day one is dedicated to revisiting the content covered in the on-line modules and adding additional exercises just to make sure everyone is comfortable with their learning. And it will be fun. There are likely to be at least twenty other people just like you so there will be games and activities as well as coaching and practice all the way through.

Day two is qualifying and just like in Formula 1 you have the chance to show us what you can do. There will be a number of challenges and activities to complete throughout the day. How successful you are with the challenges will determine your qualification level. Everyone will qualify as a Sales Graduate but each person will have their own individual score. You will receive a certificate with your level of achievement on it.

And finally, before you leave the programme we’ll spend time coaching you on your interview techniques so that you can be fully prepared for interviews when they come up. You’ll be able to complete your CV and save it into our Talent Store for potential employers to search

Attending this programme could be a valuable investment in your future. The cost is £299 and for that you will receive over 20 hours of professional coaching and training and a weekend workshop to get you ready to take on this exciting new challenge.

Through the Dealer Partner programme, dealers will be able to search all of the CV’s in our Talent Store if they are looking for new sales staff. We also work closely with manufacturers and dealer groups to help get our newly qualified candidates placed.

And that’s it! Join us now and you could be taking a significant step towards a rewarding career, brand new company car and a very competitive annual salary.
